Where to even begin? I guess I should start with thanking Eric, Maryanne, and her family for being so incredibly welcoming to mom and I. We had such a great weekend with you all!

Now…for the best part. Eric and Maryanne are engaged! Eric contacted me several weeks earlier asking if I wanted to make a quick dash up to Chicago to photograph their proposal. And of course I said yes! I couldn’t miss it! Eric had everything planned out…with the help of his now Sister-in-law…perfectly. Even constructed the perfect “lie” to get her to the park without even knowing what was happening. Maryanne was greeted by a guitarist and family along a path holding signs pointing toward Eric. It was so great! And of course, SHE SAID YES!

I am so, so happy for these two! I’ve known Eric for what feels like forever and from the short time I’ve been around Maryanne, she is perfect for him. They’re perfect for each other! I wish you guys all the love and adventures this world has to give!
